From May 22 to 29, a 4-member OISCA delegation led by Mr. Nagaishi Yasuaki, Executive Managing Director, visited Malaysia and Maldives.
In Malaysia, the Executive Committee of MARA, an agency under the Ministry of Regional and Rural Development, which is collaborating with OISCA for many years in the field of human resources development, has been renewed. The visiting OISCA delegation conferred with Dato Zulfikri Bin Osman, who took office as the new Director General of MARA, and IR. Dr. Mahzan Bin Teh, the new Deputy Director-General, in order to strengthen cooperation between OISCA and MARA. The two sides discussed the employment of highly qualified human resources from Malaysia and the holding of a Japan-Malaysia business forum.
Meanwhile in Maldives, the OISCA delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Ahmed Hassan Didi, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Based on the recognition of the importance of leadership development to increase agricultural production to a large extent in order to improve food self-sufficiency in the Maldives, both parties exchanged views on the future training of rural youth.
They also visited the country’s industrial and domestic waste treatment facilities and discussed with government officials the issue of waste disposal in the Maldives, a tourism-based country.
