OISCA renewed the MOU with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry of Saba State, Malaysia. The signing ceremony for the MOU renewal was held on January 29 at the Village Development Corporation (Korporasi Pembangunan Desa:KPD) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah State between YB Datuk Seri Panglima, Dr. Jeffrey G. Kitingan, Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah1/Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry of Sabah, and OISCA officials in charge of human resource development who visited Sabah.
In the renewed MOU, it was agreed to continue training of local rural youths at KPD-OISCA Training Center, dispatching Malaysian trainees to Japan, and promote Children’s Forest Program (CFP) for the next three years.
Deputy Chief Minister Kitingan expressed appreciation for the positive results of OISCA’s program for human resources development to date, and at the same time, requested further support for the development of human resources in agriculture at the KPD Center jointly operated with the Sabah side, and for increased rice production.
