On November 5, Ms. Nakano Etsuko, President of OISCA, Mr. Nagaishi Yasuaki,

Executive Managing Director, and other staff visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo and met with H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Thai Ambassador, to convey gratitude for the donation

amounting to \970,000 made for supporting OISCA’s Environment Restoration and Community Development Project in Chiang Rai Province, Northern Thailand.

Regarding the project being carried out by OISCA Thailand Chapter in Northern Thailand, the Royal Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented last September a donation of

500,000 Baht, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Japan had made a great effort to achieve it.

Ms. Nakano also expressed her deep appreciation for the effort of the Embassy.

These two donations will be utilized for the project to be carried out as a commemorative initiative of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Thailand in 2027.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Witchu expressed gratitude for OISCA’s longstanding contribution to Japan-Thailand friendship and goodwill through its initiatives in Thailand,

along with expectations for its further development in the future.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Konagaya Hideaki, Director of the First Southeast Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Following the meeting, the OISCA delegation singed the book of condolences for Her

Majesty Queen Sirikit Queen Mother who passed away last October.
