Name of  Director Mr. Hirose Kaneaki
Activities
  • The training center specializes in organic agriculture and its products are certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). The trainees from the different countries learn the method of organic farming based on the official standards set by the Japanese Government.
  • The trainees also undergo intensive Japanese lessons to enable them to communicate with the Japanese locals. The management of the center believes that strong grasp of the local language is a good opportunity among the trainees to have deeper understanding of the Japanese culture and the Japanese way of living.
  • Since 2008, the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), a banking corporation in Japan sponsored one of the training center`s agricultural courses. As culminating activity, every trainee is required to make action plans to be presented to the other trainees, staff and MUFG representatives. Through this, OISCA staff could identify the feasible action plans that could benefit the communities and deserves to be given with external supports.
