Activities
  • Conducting of ten-month agricultural training for youth leaders, NGO staff and local farmers from the different parts of Papua New Guinea.
  • The program emphasizes the recycle oriented farming system in rice, vegetable, fruit, fish culture and livestock rearing. The waste produced during the farming productions are often used as substrate materials for compost. The organic rice cultivation of the center is recognized by the Papua New Guinea`s government, public and private sectors because of its positive impact to the country`s agricultural communities
  • Provision of tools, resources, and expertise in rice, fruits and vegetable cultivation; animal husbandry and training on health care, sanitation, proper food preparation and processing to selected trainees from the rural villages who are nominated by the state government and other self-sponsored trainees.
Project Impact
  • The graduates of the training courses are expected to return to their own respective communities to be leaders and help in the development of their villages.
