The association has been into the silk industry for more than a decade but the members are still working for further improvement of their products by providing innovative designs to give comfort and so as to address the needs and demands of their loyal customers and potential buyers. Mr. Watanabe is now widening his network dealing with the right people to put the Bago Silk Products into the limelight.
The Sericulture Project in Negros started in 1999 was supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and again granted with another three years of financial assistance from the same agency in 2011. Since the start of the project`s another phase on October 2011, a total of 260 sericulture farmers from the different municipalities of Negros Province are benefitting from the project. Purchasing of the association`s silk products will help promote livelihood of the families depending on the silk income generating project and thus help improve their economic situation and standard of living.
