On September 22, 2025, Mr. Manoa Kamikamica, Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji who is currently visiting Japan, met with Ms. Nakano Etsuko, President of OISCA International and Mr. Nagaishi Yasuaki, Vice President, and exchanged opinions regarding OISCA’s activities in that country. This meeting was arranged through the efforts of Mr. Damend Gouner, Chairman of the Fiji Development Bank and a former OISCA trainee in Japan, who accompanied the Deputy Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Mr. Jese Saukuru, Fiji Minister of Youth and Sports, who was visiting Fukuoka Prefecture, inspected the OISCA Nishi Nippon Training Center and encouraged the trainees. OISCA’s activities in Fiji are conducted under a MOU with the Ministry, and we collaborate on programs such as youth development through agricultural training. The Minister expressed his desire to deepen cooperation so that more young Fijians can receive training opportunities in Japan and to promote human resource development. We plan to continue concrete discussions in the future.
