OISCA has been conducting agricultural training since 1990 at the Fiji National Youth Training Center. OISCA has been entrusted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports the agricultural course at this center where is has provided practical skills training in vegetable cultivation and poultry farming, along with discipline training to support self-reliance to over 1,000 young people of Fiji to date.

   These activities marked their 35th anniversary, and a commemorative ceremony was held at the center on October 22, 2025. Attendees included Mr. Jese Saukuru, Fiji Minister of Youth and Sports, and H.E. Mr. Rokuichiro Michii, Japanese Ambassador to Fiji. Also present were many participants from Japan, including OISCA members who have long supported the country, as well as Fiji’s former trainees in Japan.

   Following the guest addresses, a message from Ms. Nakano Etsuko, President of OISCA International, was presented. Subsequently, certificates of appreciation were presented to individuals and organizations that have contributed to various activities.

   After the ceremony, a gathering was held for members of OFETA (OISCA Fuji Ex-Trainees Association), an organization formed by former trainees in Japan. While concrete initiatives did not materialize yet, the members confirmed their strong desire to contribute to OISCA and their commitment to continue exchanging ideas and collaborating in the future.    Meanwhile, Ms. Saeki Eiko, an OISCA supporter who attended the gathering, provided a vehicle to OISCA Fiji utilizing donations raised through crowdfunding.
